Almost a year ago, Rockstar Games made Grand Theft Auto VI official with a beautifully produced first trailer. While many of us are waiting for a new speech, or even the broadcast of a first gameplay video, the company received a reward, the opportunity to raise the hype a little.

Rockstar builds hype and teases “absolutely mind-blowing things” for GTA 6

It was during the Golden Joystick Awards 2024 ceremony that a Rockstar Games representative took the stage to collect the “Mosted Wanted Game” prize, obviously won by GTA 6.

When he collected the prize for the most anticipated game of the year 2025, he took the opportunity to share a few words, already to thank the community, but also to confide that “there are an incredible number of people who are extraordinary things about Grand Theft Auto 6, absolutely breathtaking things.”

“Thank you very much for this incredible award. I would also like to warmly thank all the fans. They are the most important thing to us. They mean a lot to us at Rockstar. There are an incredible number of people doing amazing things in Grand Theft Auto 6, absolutely mind-blowing things. So it's a real honor to be able to come here and accept this award on behalf of everyone. I wish there were more of us. But thank you all, things happen. Thank you. »

When we look back a few years, we can safely say that Red Dead Redemption 2 was ahead of its time. We can only cross our fingers that GTA 6 will be a new revolution.

Since Rockstar Games' new production is currently scheduled for fall 2025 on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5, we should start to get some news in the coming months or weeks.
