Xbox announces partnership with Amazon to make Game Pass compatible with the Fire TV ecosystem. Microsoft’s gaming division announces that the Game Pass application will soon be available on the Fire TV Stick 4K Max (2023) et sur le Fire TV Stick 4K (2023). These TV dongles allow any television to access online content, such as video streaming platforms for example. Here, these devices will be used to use Xbox cloud gaming, included with the Game Pass Ultimate subscription.

This is good news in terms of cost, since the most expensive model costs 79.99 euros and the cheapest 69.99 euros, without taking into account the numerous promotions often available on these products. This option is also practical for nomads, who just have to carry this small device in USB key format, to plug into any screen with an HDMI portto enjoy the Game Pass catalog in streaming.

To play, you also need connect a game controller via Bluetooth compatible. Xbox One, Series, and Adaptive Wireless controllers are supported, as are PlayStation’s DualSense and DualShock 4.

Xbox has never hidden its goal of using cloud gaming as a way to impose its games and services on all screens. After being made available on computers via a web version and an application for Windows, on smartphones and tablets via an Android application and on Samsung Smart TVs, Xbox cloud gaming, and therefore a good part of the Game Pass catalog, are now accessible from a much larger number of TVs, without having to invest in a console. When launching Xbox Game Cloud, Microsoft dreamed of convincing two billion players. To do this, it has to make itself as accessible as possible.
