Mango currently offers a collection of sportswear for teenage girls, which is highlighted by an artificial intelligence-generated model on its site.

A model who looks real, but is far from it. On its site, Mango is currently offering a new collection, called “Sport”, dedicated to teenage girls. As its name suggests, it is made up of sports clothing. These are put forward by a woman who is not real. On the pages concerned, the company specifies that the photos were generated by AI, through a mention at the bottom of the image.

Create value with artificial intelligence

This is not the first time that Mango has used artificial intelligence to highlight one of its collections. The company started doing this last summer, with the “Sunset Dream” collection, which was also aimed at teenage girls. For this one, she trained an AI model using real photos to teach it how to generate images by positioning real clothes on a model.

As Mango explained in a press release, the images generated by AI were then retouched by its artistic team. This initiative is part of its strategic plan for the years 2024 to 2026, which aims in particular to “create value through technological development, data management and operational excellence”.

The company, however, has not made any communication about its new collection for which it has used AI.
