Chrome iOS is updated with four new features. From improved image search to displaying a mini-map by clicking on an address, we take stock.
Google is still working on the iOS version of Chrome, its famous and very popular search engine. To make life easier for users of pumped products, the Mountain View company is introducing four new products, two of which are already available.
We start with an update to the image search function with Google Lens. From now on, it is possible to add text to specify your request. The opportunity, for example, to look for a purple snowboard when the initial photo showed a predominantly blue board.
Storage space to save files via Chrome will no longer be a problem. Now iOS users can save their content from the Internet browser directly in the Google Cloud. When saving the file, an option appears to give you the choice between saving locally and saving in Google Drive. For images, simply hold down on them for a long time to have the option to save them directly in Google Photos.
Currently, only US users can benefit from an improvement to Shopping Insights. The latter allows you to track down good deals to indicate when there is a promotion on a product you are looking for. This gives access to the price trend of the item on the web and offers some additional options for purchasing. Google promises that this feature will be rolled out to other countries in the coming months.
Finally, very soon, it will be possible to tap on an address to bring up a mini-map directly in Chrome. This will make it easier to visualize the location on the map.
