November 7 was a big day for the PlayStation brand. After almost four years on the market, Sony welcomes a new member to the PS5 ecosystem, namely the PS5 Pro. Voted game of the year in 2022, acclaimed by players and critics, enhanced with a DLC which also caused a sensation… Obviously, buyers of the PS5 Pro, who fell under the spell of FromSoftware's hit, will perhaps restart a game or resume theirs on the new Sony machine. However, the exaltation of those who paid the modest sum of 800 euros will quickly be replaced by a little bitterness…

Elden Ring does not reach 60 stable FPS on PS5 Pro, but there is still a positive detail!
Following the tests carried out, the verdict is therefore clear: the PlayStation 5 Pro and its architecture do not completely raise the technical quality of the FromSoftware title, sadly renowned for its technicality falling short of expectations. As stated in their analyses, the observation is even rather strange compared to the performances on PlayStation 5. After several testing phases, Eurogamer points out that there are moments when performance is much better on the PS5 Pro version, while other moments failed to highlight any difference… Despite everything, there is still some positive data to be extracted from this passage through the mill ofElden Ring on PS5 Pro.
If, in the performance mode focused on quality, we sometimes touch 60 frames per second, the result is far from constant. Eurogamer has, among other things, noticed numerous fluctuations, pointing to the inconstancy of the frame rate since it oscillates around 50 FPS and can even go down to 40 FPS at certain times. In performance mode, the penalty also falls: 60 frames per second are still not locked ! That being said, the performance of Game Boost mode still has an advantage : that of proposing the best way to play Elden Ring on consoles. If the triumph is not there, while waiting for a PS5 Pro patch, there is still a small consolation prize.
