In a post on the GeForceNOW Reddit page, Nvidia announced that starting in 2025, gamers will have a time limit to enjoy their subscription. Thus, subscribers to the Performance & Ultimate offers will be able to use GeForce Now for 100 hours per month, no more. This actually corresponds to a little less than 3.5 hours per day.

As a reminder, the Performance subscription is available for €10.99 per month, with session durations currently not exceeding 6 hours. The Ultimate subscription, which offers 4K, DLSS 3, Nvidia Reflex and the G-Sync cloud for €21.99 per month, allows sessions of 8 hours per day. There is also a free offer, but this does not allow you to play for more than an hour at a time, and has longer queues compared to paid offers.

100 hours per month maximum, or a little less than 3.5 hours per day

According to Nvidia, this new limit of 100 hours per month should accommodate 94% of members, who never exceed this limit, already today. Note also that, if you do not use up to 15 hours from your 100-hour monthly package, these 15 hours may be carried over to the following month, which will then give you a limit of 115 hours. On the other hand, if the limit of 100 hours were to be exceeded, players will have to pay a different additional cost for each type of subscription: Nvidia is talking about $2.99 more for 15 additional hours on the Performance offer, and 5 .99 dollars for 15 more hours on the Ultimate offer.

Important note: this measure will only be effective from the start of 2025, and only for new subscribers from 2025. In other words, if you already have a subscription today, or you subscribe to an offer before December 31, the The time limit will not be effective for another year. In this case, Nvidia will only launch the 100-hour gaming time limit from 2026. If you create an account on January 1, 2025, on the other hand, it will indeed be effective as soon as your account is created.
