Sega confirms it: the publisher is indeed working on a new part of its Virtua Fighter franchise.
Good news for fans of fighting games: Sega has just confirmed the development of a new opus in the Virtua Fighter series.
No details have yet filtered out regarding it, however it seems that this new episode is part of the wave of revivals currently underway at Sega. Remember, the publisher has revealed new episodes of Crazy Taxi, Shinobi, Golden Ax and Streets of Rage. The momentum is also quite good since the latest remaster of Sonic has already sold more than a million units.
A little over a year ago, Sega had already released a reissue of the latest Virtua Fighter on PS5. The game had very mixed success given the lack of marketing and its very limited availability, but obviously, the franchise still has appeal for the publisher.
