A surprise announcement from the previous BlizzCon, the Vessel of Hatred expansion for Diablo IV today got a new preview at the Xbox Games Showcase, one year after the release of the base game.

A trailer and release date for the Vessel of Hatred DLC

This first expansion will take you to a place more sinister than ever, where the influence of Hatred continues to enslave Sanctuary. Vessel of Hatred, or Receptacle of Hatred in French, continues the dark story begun in Diablo IV, as players discover the fate of the primordial demon Mephisto and his evil plans for Sanctuary.

Thus, it will be possible to explore a region called Nahantu by the local population. This continuation of the main campaign will give the opportunity to face new dangers and take charge of a class new to the license. According to recent leaks, it would be the “Spiritborn”, a class linked to nature.

Vessel of Hatred will be available on October 8, 2024 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC.

With Diablo IV available in Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass, subscribers to the service will receive a 10% discount on the purchase of the expansion.
