After various episodes which were widely criticized by the press and by players, the Call of Duty series makes its return thanks to Black Ops 6. With its pretty graphics, its particularly crazy campaign setting, its on-movement, and its numerous online game modes, Bethesda’s FPS is indeed the hit of this end of the year. Featuring the returns of Zombies mode and Theater mode, Black Ops 6 ticks all the boxes to excite fans of the license. In our review of the single-player campaign, we touted it as a great stealth action experience (and then some).

Since its release, everything indicates that the Activision/Microsoft game has been an explosive success. Its different editions were immediately passed leading sales of Xbox games. Black Ops 6 is also in the lead of the most played games on PlayStation. In the UK we learn via ispreview that the access provider EE faced “the highest traffic ever recorded for the launch of a video game” on its network with the release of Black Ops 6. “EE saw a 144% increase in Xbox Live traffic on its network compared to the previous week”, lit.
On Steam, the numbers are also huge. Number 1 best-seller, Activision/Microsoft’s FPS is already doing better than Modern Warfare 3 and recording a peak of more than 306,000 players for its first weekend.
