The largest video game show in France, the 13th edition of Paris Games Week brought together 188,000 visitors between Wednesday October 23 and Sunday October 27, the organizers announced in a press release. “In a particular post-Covid context for the industry, the show was able to maintain sustained attendance with 188,000 visitors and the presence of industry majors”, they congratulate themselves. “This 2024 edition finally marks a historic record with 228 brands represented.”

Paris Games Week hoped to welcome up to 200,000 people this year. In 2023, the event had claimed 187,000 visitors, compared to 317,000 during the last pre-pandemic edition in 2019. The three big console manufacturers (Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo) were there, like major publishers like Ubisoft and Bandai Namco.

Even if Paris Games Week still claims to be a celebration of video games, the show will open up a little more in 2024 to other horizons, with spaces dedicated to manga, cosplay or e-sport, concerts, conferences and even skateboarding and BMX demonstrations. Stated objective: to become “the leading show for 18-35 year olds” by 2030, by seeking visitors beyond the gaming community.
