Palworld is available for pre-order on the Mac App Store

Palworldthe “Pokémon with guns” which was a hit at the start of the year, is now available for pre-order on the Mac App Store. The game is listed there for €28.99 with a release date scheduled for November 26. The port of this title was announced during the last WWDC.

Palworld was one of the surprise successes of 2024: this open world game offers the opportunity to capture “Pals”, small creatures that can be fought or built, extracted resources, developed a farm, etc. . The game was talked about because of its obvious inspiration from the license Pokémonwhich he reinterprets in a much more mature way given that it is possible to exploit his Pals in the factory, to make them carry a weapon or even… to eat them.

Despite this astonishing concept, the game was very well received by critics and players alike, and Palworld exceeded 15 million copies sold in 1 month. Some praised its multiplayer aspect and more realistic graphics. Although Nintendo initially let the matter slide, the Japanese giant finally filed a complaint against the PocketPair studio last month for patent infringement. The case is ongoing, and it prevented the game from being released in Japan.

Waiting for, Palworld should soon be released on Mac. The Apple store sheet indicates that you will need at least macOS 14 and a Mac M1 to take advantage of it, which leaves the Intel models on the sidelines. This port will perhaps end up arriving on Steam alongside the Windows version as is sometimes the case, but nothing has been announced yet. Note that a smartphone version was recently entrusted to the studio responsible for the mobile version of PUBG.
