CD Projekt completely abandons a huge game

CD Project is rather transparent about what happens in its studios. The Polish developer was a hit with The Witcher 3: Wild Huntthen with Cyberpunk 2077but now he is entirely focused on designing a The Witcher 4first part of a new trilogy.

CD Project has just revealed its financial results, taking stock of the missions of its employees, like every quarter. Of course, the focus is on the project Polariscodename of The Witcher 4but as the graph above shows, the team dedicated to Orion (Following Cyberpunk 2077) grew up, slowly but surely. However, the big information concerns the previous big game from the Polish studio: absolutely no one is working on Cyberpunk 2077 anymore, CD Project gave up the gamethis is the end of the updates.

As a reminder, the studio released a bunch of free patches, up to version 2.0 last September, but Cyberpunk 2077 has since moved to 2.12, without forgetting the paid extension Phantom Liberty. It’s a page that is turning for the players and the studio, but the logical next step for CD Project. Now all eyes are on The Witcher 4Following Cyberpunk 2077 will only happen later.

You can find Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition from €33 on Amazon, Cdiscount, Fnac And GOG.com.
