Apple has confirmed, in a rather unusual way, that there will be new Macs next week. “We have an exciting week of announcements coming up, starting Monday morning. Stay tuned »declares Greg Joswiak on X, making a pun in English with the word Mac.
And keynote in due form having now been ruled out, we should undoubtedly expect announcements via press release throughout the week. Hoping for an iMac M4, MacBook Pro M4s and a brand new Mac mini M4 which would approach the size of an Apple TV. The devices would also be updated with a USB-C port in place of Lightning.
Update : this principle of one announcement per day – which seems to be taking shape – is not new at Apple. In 2019, from March 18 to 20, Apple announced iPad Air/mini, an iMac the next day and AirPods 2 the day after. All this left the field open the following week for a special services keynote, with a curtain-raiser on Apple TV+, Apple News+, Apple Arcade and the Apple Card.
