Switzerland’s “best kept secret” pushes the limits with a watch that shakes up our perception of Language!

Having a name that’s difficult to pronounce can be seen as an obstacle, but for this watch brand, it’s a good way to start a conversation. Discover how the new watch born from the collaboration between BA111OD and Label Noir invites us to review our relationship with language and time.

BA111OD, the “best kept secret” of the Swiss watchmaking valleys

BA111OD proudly claims to be the “best kept secret” of the Swiss watchmaking valleys.

The name of this young Neuchâtel factory is a digital play around the surname of its founder, Thomas Baillod.

The pronunciation of “BA111OD” is left to your discretion, explains the brand, when other words are accompanied by a convenient pronunciation notice.

CHPTR_Δ, the result of a collaboration with Label Noir

This latest creation is a collaboration with the Geneva watch and jewelry design studio Black Label.

The watch is called CHPTR_Δ. Or, as fans of the Greek alphabet will have guessed, “Chapter Delta”.

This is Label Noir’s reinterpretation of the BA111OD watch displaying the time via a single rotating triangle.

“Together we explored new horizons for our brand. Emmanuel Curti’s innovative approach[horloger chez Label Noir], which boldly reinvents iconic pieces, deeply resonates with our vision of watchmaking. This partnership allowed us to combine our ideas to create a unique watch,” rejoices Thomas Baillod.

And added: “Since day one, BA111OD has advocated another way of looking at watchmaking. Today, we also offer a new reading of time.”

Limited edition, distinctive colors

This watch sports a 44mm case in PVD-treated steel, housing an automatic movement based on the Soprod M100 caliber, with 42 hours of power reserve.

It comes with a black textile strap, and has a water resistance of 50 meters.

Offered in a limited edition of 111 numbered copies, the BA111OD CHPTR_Δ x Label Noir comes in three colors: gray with blue accents, black with red accents, and deep blue with a distinctive yellow dot. Price : 2950 CHF.

With this surprising collaboration, BA111OD and Label Noir invite us to review our codes and our perceptions. An unpronounceable name as an invitation to dialogue, a time display reinvented as another reading of time… This CHPTR_Δ pushes the boundaries of watchmaking and language with audacity and originality. A fine example of the bubbling creativity nestled in the heart of the Swiss watchmaking valleys! Summary
