Blizzard Takes Action Following Farming Gobbling Frogs in WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria – World of Warcraft

As Kaivax indicates in a message published during the evening, the developers studied the impact of farming Gobbling Frogs during the first days of WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria. They are also working to respond to player feedback regarding the acquisition of Bronze, the difficulty at high levels and the impression of being behind compared to those who took advantage of the Frogs.

A small number of players gained a significant advantage that impacted the experience for some in WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria. With hotfixes having been deployed, characters with excessive Gobbling Frog kill counts prior to the hotfix have been adjusted, with the power of the Cloak of Infinite Potential reduced to an amount that hardcore players could reasonably achieve. This change will have a greater impact on players who have taken advantage of the situation for longer.

For those who have not taken advantage of this Frog farm, the developers offer three additional quests with significant Bronze rewards for reaching levels 50, 60 and 70. These quests are available from Momentus, the NPC improving the items present in the Infinite Bazaar of the Jade Forest. These quests grant characters an additional 3,000, 7,000, and 30,000 Bronze. Level 70 Timeline characters are able to do these three quests immediately for an additional 40,000 Bronze. Those who have killed too many Gobbling Frogs will not be eligible for these quests.

Blizzard believes that these quests and the additional Bronze they grant will make Remix more rewarding for main and secondary characters during the duration of the event. Players can choose to use this Bronze to upgrade their gear or purchase cosmetic rewards from the Infinite Bazaar, depending on their personal goals for that character. These quests will be available to all Timecourse characters who level up during the event.

The team will continue to monitor Remix and make improvements if necessary.
