A rather annoying bug had developed on the iPhone: old deleted photos reappeared as if nothing had happened, but it’s over…

This is a potentially quite traumatic bug. A few days ago, we announced to you that photos were reappearing out of nowhere, years after their deletion. Some users are even talking about photos dating from 2010.

If this bug reminds us above all that nothing is ever really deleted in the world of tech, the thing is now corrected. Apple has indeed resolved the problem in an iOS 17.5.1 update, as explained by the English-speaking site MacRumors.

No more unsolicited ghosts of the past. The bug was, as a reminder, from the iOS 17.5 update, which brought the iPhone to European Union time.

Once again, if this bug is specific to the Apple brand, the problem it highlights is also true for Android. For this reason, remember not to take a photo of something you don’t want to remember forever, because it’s better to be too careful than not enough… Additionally, saving these photos in a cloud system , like iCloud or Google Photos, is never 100% secure.
