Xiaomi has officially launched its “high-end” tablet, the Redmi Pad Pro, in France. This newcomer sports a 12.1-inch screen with a definition of 2.5K and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Unlike the OLED screens often touted in press releases, this is an IPS LCD screen . This screen offers a 16:10 format, particularly suitable for entertainment.

With a brightness reaching 500 nits, and up to 600 nits for HDR peaks, the Redmi Pad Pro screen promises a very decent visual experience, even outdoors. The tablet also supports Dolby Vision and is protected by Gorilla Glass 3. The 120 Hz refresh rate is adaptive.

Under the hood, the Redmi Pad Pro is equipped with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2, coupled with 6 or 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and UFS 2.2 storage. This combination ensures solid performance for most common applications and games. The presence of a microSD slot allows you to expand the storage, a nice feature for those who need more space.

In terms of connectivity, the tablet has Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, but does not offer any cellular variants. Xiaomi therefore focuses on mainly domestic use or in environments where Wi-Fi is accessible. At worst, you will be able to share your smartphone connection.

One of the major assets of the Redmi Pad Pro is its audio system. Equipped with four compatible speakers Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio, it offers an immersive sound experience, ideal for watching movies or listening to music.

On the software side, the tablet runs on Android with the interface Xiaomi HyperOS. This interface offers several features for easy synchronization with Android smartphones and Windows PCs. This allows for better integration into the digital ecosystem of users.

Xiaomi accompanies its tablet with two main accessories: the Redmi Pad Pro keyboard and the Redmi Smart Pen stylus. The keyboard, although lacking a trackpad, offers a comfortable 19mm key spacing, making typing easier. The stylus, with its 4096 pressure levels and its touch sampling rate of 240 Hz, is intended to be precise and responsive.
