A first for subsidiary 265

It was on September 5, at the Lorette Golf Club, that Branch 265 of the Royal Canadian Legion held its very first golf tournament. Harnold Savardprincipal administrator of Branch 265 and who served in the Forces for 31 years; the retired captain Fred Caron, who served for 25 years in the Forces and received numerous decorations, including the Medal of Military Valor from the Governor General of Canada; and the vice-president of operations of the Port of Quebec, Mr.e Pascal Raby, acted as honorary co-presidents of the tournament which brought together around a hundred participants. The organizing committee, composed ofAndré Lavallée, Pierre Gosselin et Yvon Ouellette, was supported by a team of volunteers gathered here in the photo. Photo provided by subsidiary 265.

The Oktoberfest for the benefit of Œuvres Jean Lafrance is back, this evening from 6 p.m., at Mercedes-Benz in Quebec. Isabelle Parent, owner and president, and Dave Carter (photo), co-owner and DA approved real estate broker of the Royal LePage Blanc & Noir real estate agency (photos), have accepted the honorary co-president of the 2024 event. It is also this evening, this time at the Cercle de la Garrison, that the 10e Pool du Cercle under the honorary presidency of Marc Fortier (photo), former Quebec Nordique between 1987 and 1992.
