During a discussion on our community, we realized that many users of Home Assistant on iPhone were unaware of the existence of widgets allowing you to control your home automation under iOS, which is why today we invite you to discover them.

Home Assistant: widgets to control your home automation on iPhone

Like Signify and its Philips Hue widgets, Nabu Casa has been offering us for several years now Home Assistant widgets on iOS. Very practical for controlling your home automation on iPhone, there are currently six of them and allow very quick access to certain features of our favorite home automation system. In the editorial office, we even use it daily.

To use Home Assistant widgets on iPhone, it’s very simple:

  1. Access widgets by keeping your fingers pressed on a page;
  2. Press the + on the top corner left ;
  3. Type “Home Assistant” in the search bar;
  4. Select widget of your choice.

And that’s it, you can now use Home Assistant on iPhone at lightning speed. As far as we are concerned, we particularly like the large format widget which allows us to very quickly access a large number of sections. We also like widgets that allow you to launch automations.

Home Assistant under iOS: new features expected in 2024
