Book. The National Rally (RN) fabricated false evidence to prevent Jordan Bardella from being prosecuted in the affair of the parliamentary assistants of the National Front, assures Tristan Berteloot, journalist at Releasein a very documented book, The Winning Machine. Revelations about the RN marching towards the Elysée (Threshold, 240 pages, 19.50 euros). This was ultimately not necessary, the young assistant – promising, but still a student – of former RN MEP Jean-François Jalkh having been summoned neither by the police nor by the judges. Probably because he was, at the time, only a small character and his part-time contract only lasted, in 2015, four and a half months – at 1,200 euros net per month, this which is certainly comfortable for part time.
If the Bardella file only occupies one chapter of Berteloot’s book, which aims to minutely detail the heavy march of the RN towards power, it is of major importance. The journalist explains that one of Marine Le Pen’s lawyers, Ghislain Dubois, was responsible for centralizing the documents supposed to prove the work of the assistants, suspected of fictitious jobs – the trial of 27 parliamentarians and assistants of the RN must open in Paris on September 30. Jordan Bardella, in 2015, is 20 years old and is both “mission manager” in Paris for the party’s number two, Florian Philippot, and parliamentary assistant to the RN European deputy Jean-François Jalkh.
Erased dates
Me Dubois charges a young intern, Paul D., with “editing of Jordan Bardella’s file” in an email dated December 20, 2017. The intern goes to the Global Factiva site, available to MEPs, which offers online press reviews. He is responsible for collecting articles published two years earlier, erasing the date of the research and its copyright under each document. Added to the file is a 2015 calendar diary, with photos of fighter planes, on which Jordan Bardella is supposed to have scribbled some events of the year linked to the mandate of his deputy.
Jordan Bardella responded to Releaseafter a first publication of these revelations in the daily newspaper at the beginning of September, that it was“a crude attempt at destabilization”then the newspaper published a facsimile of the famous calendar and especially its purchase invoice, sent to the RN headquarters on May 16, 2018, while the young assistant was supposed to have completed it three years earlier… Me Alexandre Varaut, party spokesperson in the assistants’ affair, admits today, and obviously, that the agenda is a fake, but he assures that Jordan Bardella has nothing to do with it and has no never wrote anything on it: “It looks like his handwriting, but it’s not hisassures the lawyer. These documents have never been produced to anyone. »
