The first Assassin’s Creed game in the main series to come to mobile is coming very soon. iPhones and iPads will be eligible, but not all models. Here are which ones are affected as well as the release date.
The game series Assassin’s Creed will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2027. It is now part of the video game landscape in the same way as licenses with a new opus every year or almost like the 2K sports games to recite nobody else but them. With time and the gradual increase in power of devices, Ubisoft began to bring the adventures of the hooded killers to mobile. When it finally comes out, the Assassin’s Creed Jade episode will be exclusive to smartphones for example.
During the presentation of the iPhone 15 in September 2023, Apple announced the upcoming arrival of Assassin’s Creed Mirage on some of its products. This is the first time that a “main” episode has been ported to mobile. The game had to be released “early the following year“, at the very beginning of 2024, but it was delayed unlike other titles announced like Resident Evil 4 Remake. The developer and publisher of the saga puts an end to the suspense and reveals a precise date.
Here’s when Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be released on iPhone and iPad
“Our teams have worked hard to adapt the game controls to the touchscreen to provide an intuitive, comfortable and engaging gaming experience“, explains Ubisoft in a post on the professional social network LinkedIn. The company takes the opportunity to specify thatAssassin’s Creed Mirage will be playable on :
- iPhone 15 Pro.
- iPhone 15 Pro Max.
- iPads with an Apple M1 chip or higher.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be released on these devices on June 6, 2024. It is already available for pre-order on the App Store. Note that the store indicates June 10th instead of June 6thand we don’t know whether Apple or Ubisoft made a mistake. The game is free to downloadbut is not fully unlockable after an in-app purchase.
