In Luxembourg: Michel Fouarge nominated for international festivals

Between fashion and the big screen, there is only one step, which Michel Fouarge, a 50-year-old Luxembourger, has decided to take. Former model for big names in fashion like Armani and Gianfranco Ferré, Michel Fouarge affirms his determination to continue his career in the spotlight, refusing to leave the front of the stage.

He is the main character of the new short film, made behind closed doors in Hestroff, in the family home of director Jérôme Jacob. The fiction “Existence”, played by Fanny Carbonnel and her daughter, played by Nina Jacob, features two women isolated in their house, following a natural disaster. They are alongside their clone Alfa (played by Michel) responsible for being their butler, who will quickly become a Source of concern…

“I loved playing this role, it was a challenge. Being a mute role takes a lot of effort. It’s all about facial expressions. You have to have good mastery,” says the man who is just starting out in cinema.

He received his first award as “Best supporting actor” at the Indie film festival in Seville, Spain. “I was on the same podium as the actress Lena Headey, who played in Games of Thrones, Terminator and 300. It’s really rewarding for me,” says Michel Fouarge, who had recently started a career as a photographer in Luxembourg and internationally.

The short film has already won around twenty international awards this year. He made a “good impression” at several festivals such as Los Angeles, Seville and Berlin, winning 24 awards.

“Thanks to this exhibition, we will be distributed worldwide. Everything is coming together, I have just returned from Cambodia, where I had the extreme chance to play with recognized actors on the set of a pilot for the launch of a series,” he explains. He filmed alongside Ron Smoorenburg and Derek Bidaut, and this time will play a Big Boss of the local mafia.

Michel Fouarge continues to be sought after as an actor for numerous other film projects. Notably for a short film with Davy Klein, which is planned for 2025. He is also preparing the release of a fantasy novel about vampires.
