The developer of Noble ROM, a custom ROM for the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy Note 9, has just announced that the next version of this ROM will include support for certain AI features of the Galaxy S24
The Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy Note 9 are among the Korean brand’s most iconic devices, but due to their age, they will not receive new AI featurescalled Galaxy AI, which debuted in the recent Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra with One UI 6.1.
Or at least not officially, because a developer got to work and managed to create a custom ROM that brings Samsung’s main AI features to these older terminals.
The Galaxy S9 and Galaxy Note 9 will also receive their dose of AI thanks to Noble ROM
AlexisXDA, the developer of Noble ROM, a custom ROM for the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy Note 9, announced in https://twitter.com/AlexisDevXDA/status/1782427042622922978the social network formerly known as Twitter, that the next version of it, 4.1, will be based on One UIU 6.1 and will include the main AI features of the Korean brand’s latest devices.
As you can see in the images accompanying the post in question, which we leave you below, AlexisXDA has managed to port to the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy Note 9 some of the AI features of Galaxy AI, which we list below below:
- Circle to Search or Rodea para buscar: a function that allows you to perform a search by circling around the word or product you want more information about
- Image Editing with Generative AI: A set of image editing tools that will allow you to move, resize or remove people or objects from a photoas well as enhance a photo using AI
- Interpret: a feature that allows you to translate real-time split-screen conversationsso that your interlocutor can read the transcription of what you said
- Live Translate: a tool that can be complementary to the previous function, because thanks to it you will be able to translate text and voice in both directions, in real time and with complete confidentiality
AlexisXDA has confirmed that Noble ROM version 4.1 will begin to be available to all Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9+ and Galaxy Note 9 users starting next Mayso if you have one of these terminals and you have not yet installed the current version of this ROM, we recommend that you go to the XDA-Developers forum to find out how download it and install it on your terminal.
