In addition to the standard Moto G24, Motorola also offers the G24 Power, a phone that boasts a larger battery. Today we will take a closer look at this device.

There are some differences between the two phones: the Power model is 1mm thicker and weighs 16g more, but it charges twice as fast and has a 1,000mAh larger battery.

The chassis, made of matte and glossy plastic, is available in light blue or dark blue. The camera module, which protrudes slightly into the upper left corner, is organically integrated into the design with a slightly curved transition, giving the device a very premium look and feel.

Likewise, the frame integrates perfectly with the display module, and the fairly thin frame of the screen gives the G24 Power a modern look. We’re impressed by how sturdy the chassis is: twisting the phone doesn’t make it squeak or move; similarly, a very significant force must be applied to affect the liquid crystals of the screen.

The Motorola phone can even boast of being IP certified, but only up to IP52. This means that the device is fairly well protected against dust, but can only withstand water drops.

The difference with the Moto G24, which we haven’t talked about yet, is that the Moto G24 Power has 256 GB of storage space and 8 GB of RAM, thus offering better specifications in this area. The phone costs around €190 and is only available with this storage and memory configuration.

The 3.5mm audio jack lets you plug in a pair of headphones. You can also read tags and make payments wirelessly using NFC technology. In addition to two nano-SIM slots, the SIM tray can accommodate a microSD card. But you cannot add eSIM profile on this budget phone.

We tested the card reader with our reference microSD card (Angelbird V60) and found that it offered good transfer speeds, comparable to phones in this category. That said, it is far from fully exploiting the card’s potential.
