The wait for Grand Theft Auto VI never ends! At the same time, after 11 years of waiting to do the same missions again in Grand Theft Auto V, it’s normal! In any case, know that things seem to be moving on the Rockstar Games side since they have posted a job offer, according to the media Dexerto.
We are talking here about a “Screenshot Capture Artist” position.or screen capture artist in the language of Molière. I’m not going to hide it from you, I didn’t know this job existed before writing these lines. For those who were in my situation, here is the description of the ad:
“This role involves capturing still images of gameplay, used both for marketing campaigns and directly in games. In essence, it’s like taking photos in a virtual 3D game environment, similar to a digital street photographer. The candidate will be required to create stylized images within game engines that capture the mood of a project and quickly master new, unfinished games.”
Roughly speaking, we are talking here, for example, about the official screenshots that you can see on your favorite stores when you consult the page of a game before purchasing it. One thing is for sure, the person who will be hired for this position will have his work cut out for him, given the technical prowess that Rockstar is capable of! We will certainly have the chance to see these images in an upcoming trailer that we all hope will arrive soon.

What’s interesting is that this job posting was posted almost exactly 1 year after the very first trailer revealing the first glimpses of what could be Grand Theft Auto VI. And we know that Rockstar rarely does things randomly and likes to leave a few clues for players to decipher before the release of one of their flagship titles. This was the case, for example, with Red Dead Redemption 2.
At the same time, between that and GTA Online, it’s all we have left while waiting for fall 2025, the date promised by Rockstar recently regarding the release of their next Grand Theft Auto. GTA VI should indeed offer the content and quality specific to a game from the Rockstar Games stable, with a title even more anchored in the reality of our world than its predecessors. In the era of ultra-connectivity where fake news and conspiracy theories reign, and where appearances take precedence over everything else, there is enough to write the satire of the century in a game that risks being the master of its decade, as its big brother was.
