The Sigoulès-et-Flaugeac Municipal Council met on Tuesday, September 10. The session began with a presentation by the wine fair committee to present the results of the event organized in July. The co-presidents also discussed the challenges of making this event sustainable. The mayor, Jean-Louis Dessalles, recalled that the wine fair was a major event in the town: the Council therefore proposed to maintain, at a minimum, the current financial support.

There were many items on the agenda for the meeting: first, the renewal of the cash line subscribed in 2023 for 150,000 euros, then the acquisition, scheduled for 2025, of three plots adjoining the town hall for an amount of 200,000 euros, or the creation of a 2nd class administrative assistant position to replace an agent.

Unanimity

Another essential point was raised by Jean-Louis Dessalles: “We have validated the signing of an agreement with the Council of Architecture, Urban Planning and the Environment [CAUE] as part of the town centre development and rehabilitation project. A public presentation and consultation will be an integral part of the discussions prior to implementation.

All items on the agenda were adopted unanimously.

Among the various questions, animations that will occur on the occasion of Pink October, in particular “Together for Pink October”, were presented. This event will be held on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 October, and will be supported by the Bergobouch.

On the other hand, the elected officials discussed the progress of negotiations undertaken within the framework of a land acquisition which would aim to create social housing.

To conclude the meeting, the mayor presented the latest information on the establishment of voluntary drop-off points and their commissioning. The information was disseminated by the SMD3 on 13 September.
