As reported, the roof structure of an apartment building under construction in Greifswald caught fire yesterday (03.09.2024). (original report: https://www.presseportal.de/blaulicht/pm/108768/5856882 )
The fire broke out on the roof during roofing work. The fire spread across an area of approximately 20 x 30 meters. All workers were able to escape from the building unharmed.
The material damage caused is currently estimated at one million euros. The criminal police have begun investigations into negligent arson.
A fire investigator is scheduled to be on site on September 4, 2024 to clarify the exact cause of the fire.
