In the farewell words that Milun Todorović, the mayor of Čačak, addressed to his friend Bora Đorđević, he said that the last wish of the famous rocker will be fulfilled, which is to be buried in his hometown.

– The legend of the rock and roll scene of our Serbia and the region, a masterful and unsurpassed musician, songwriter and frontman of the biggest rock band Riblja Čorba, has left us. At the age of 72, Bora Đorđević, an icon of Čačak and a man who left an indelible mark in the hearts of all generations in four and a half decades of musical creativity, passed away. Having long ago become immortal for his people from Čačan and Čačak, he was included in the ranks of the greatest legends that this city gave birth to. Dear Boro, dear friend, thank you for every stanza and every measure I grew up with. Thank you for every advice and kind word, and the biggest thank you for considering me a friend. I promise you in my name and in the name of all the people of Čačan, and you already knew that, that you will never be forgotten – said Milun Todorović.

He added that Čačak will soon have a street named after Bora Đorđević, as he said ,,a street that some new, future generations will also walk on, learning verses and tones that will never fade from their memories,,.
– Your last wish to be buried in your hometown will be fulfilled and as you said yourself, you will return to the slopes of Jelica to stay forever in Čačak – said Todorovic.
Biography of Bora Chorba
Let us remind you that Bora Đorđević was born in 1952 in Čačak. He finished elementary school in his hometown, and after problems with the law, he was kicked out of high school. His parents then, in order to escape from the “shame” he caused them, decided to move to Belgrade.
There, Bora graduated from the Fifth Gymnasium and entered the Faculty of Law. After two years, he realized that this profession was not for him, so he tried to enter the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade. He was never accepted for acting, so he enrolled in organization at FDU. Fish Stew Group in 1978. In more than 45 years of their career, they recorded 20 studio albums and eight live releases. The last album “Da tebe nije” was released by Siti rekords. He lived in Slovenia for about ten years, where he married for the third time.
