From 12 noon – Wheelchair tennis, women, 1st round

The singles players are starting the Paralympic tournament in Roland Garros. The only German player is Katharina Krüger, who has been dealt the toughest possible draw at the start. Her opponent Daniele de Groot is a record winner with 23 titles at Grand Slam tournaments, having won all of the last 15. The fifth Paralympics could end quickly for the 34-year-old Berliner Krüger. The match is the first on Court Suzanne Lenglen and begins at 12:00 p.m.
