Owner of a magnificent property at the tip of Cap Ferret according to New ObsGilles Lellouche has one (or rather two) neighbor(s) who is (are) not the most convenient. This is Benoît Bartherotte, a French stylist and businessman known for having carried out work without a permit at the tip of the Cape in order to fight against marine erosion. Having owned his house since 1985, the producer’s neighbor also hit the headlines in December 2015 after firing into the air at two fishermen who he claimed had entered his property.
Convicted of willful violence with a weapon in March 2019 and banned from possessing a weapon for a period of five years, the judges considered that he was in no way the owner of the dike and that he could not claim to deprive walkers of access the tip of Cap Ferret.
In 2001, he built without authorization a villa at the tip of Cap-Ferret which was ultimately destroyed after a court decision. He is also known to have had major legal problems with Bernard Tapie. A definitely not convenient neighbor.
Pascal Obispo, annoyed by tourists
Another neighbor who does not seem particularly welcoming, Pascal Obispo also owns a house in Cap Ferret and protested against the overtourism from which the region suffers. “Don’t come to Cap-Ferret anymore, that would be good.” he notably declared on the microphone of Europe 1.
In the show Culture Mediahe added: “The Arcachon basin is a magnificent place, but it’s hell, I don’t leave my house anymore (…) It goes without saying that Cap-Ferret, and more generally the Arcachon basin, are the unfortunate victims of overtourism. Traffic is often difficult there, and the same goes for access to housing. Locals are finding it more and more difficult to find accommodation all year round.“. A singer whose The desire to love is visibly selective.
