Paul Ronzheimer was kidnapped and interrogated in Lebanon

“For security reasons,” Bild and Welt are only reporting on the arrest now – after Ronzheimer’s safe departure. Ronzheimer was arrested on September 28, one day after Israel killed Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah.

Bild says: “Unknown men took Ronzheimer and his team from the hotel room to an unknown location, interrogated the journalists. They were handcuffed and blindfolded. The men are said to have been employees of the Lebanese military intelligence service .”

Ronzheimer was released again late in the evening. According to Bild, the German embassy in Beirut is said to have intervened. Thanks to the cooperation of the Lebanese authorities, he was released quickly. Paul Ronzheimer talks about the incident in his podcast “RONZHEIMER”.
