Lions who find solutions

The people of Lausanne will start this meeting with more certainty than in their last CHL match against the Hungarians of Fehérvár AV19. With already 9 National League matches played, Geoff Ward and his staff have already been able to target several points that work in his workforce. The first attacking trio, made up of the two Finns Ahti Oksanen (4 buts et 5 assists) et Antti Suomela (4 goals and 6 assists) and Damien Riat (3 goals and 4 assists), is one of them. After a rather timid start to the championship, it took a few games to see the real potential of this attacking line which shows their teammates the way to the net.

Big uncertainty at the start of the season, the young duo of Lausanne goalkeepers Kevin Pasche et Anthony Keller made good impressions in front of the Vaud goal and allowed their team to play calmly in the offensive zone.

A Norwegian team pumped up

Currently Norwegian champions, Storhamar Hockey players still dominate the The Fjordkraft league with already 6 victories for only 1 defeat. The current strongman of the Norwegian squad is a former youngster of the club returning to his hometown, Håvard Østrem Salsten. The striker panics the scorers of his championship with 10 points (4 goals and 6 assists) in 7 matches played.

However, the intrinsic level of the Norwegian team is not well known to Swiss observers, which reinforces the distrust of the Lausanne coaches in their preparation for the match. The latter can still be based on the last 4 CHL matches of the Norwegians who faced three Swiss clubs. Despite two defeats against ZSC Lions (1-4) and Genève-Servette HC (4-3 TAB), the Norwegian players snatched a solid victory against the Friborg Dragons (1-0 TAB).
