Mady Gio: Accusation of tax evasion – living in Switzerland

Onlyfans star Mady Gio is reported in Italy for evading 1.5 million euros in taxpayers’ money. The 29-year-old, whose real name is Madalina Ioana Filip, isn’t particularly worried about that. “Now I live in Switzerland,” she says.

The Italian tax authorities became aware of the Onlyfans queen of Romanian origin in 2021. The model showed off luxury cars on the adult portal and in interviews she showed off the huge income she earned from her content on Onlyfans. The tax authority quickly discovered that there were sometimes glaring discrepancies between what was reported to the state treasury and Filip’s actual standard of living – and initiated an investigation.

As a result of the investigation, Mady Gio was reported to the Busto Arsizio Public Prosecutor’s Office for allegedly submitting false tax returns. The model moved to Switzerland shortly afterwards. She feels safe in this country: The 29-year-old benefits from a regulation according to which the Italian tax authorities cannot track her across the border.

Madalina Ioana Filip took to Instagram on Monday to explain her point of view: “I read newspaper articles accusing me of tax evasion. My right to privacy and, above all, the sacrosanct principle of innocence until proven guilty were violated. These are just allegations for which I have already instructed my lawyers to defend me in all appropriate places,” she writes.

She “always paid taxes, both in Italy and in Switzerland, my actual place of residence since 2022,” the model continued. Filip hopes that the case will be clarified and that those who are now accusing her of tax evasion will also admit that they made a mistake.
