The match winner for Inter against the guests from Turin was the three-time goalscorer Marcus Thuram, who scored 1-0 and 2-0 within ten minutes in the first half and 3-1 after an hour. In the final phase, Nikola Vlasic was able to reduce the score to 2:3 with a penalty. Thanks to the home win against Torino, goalkeeper Yann Sommer’s team stays close to leaders Napoli.
Bergamo’s Mateo Retegui also scored three goals in a 5-1 win against Genoa. The remaining goals for the superior hosts were scored by Marten der Roon and Ederson. (DPA)
