Jannik Sinner is not only a superstar on the tennis court, but also outside of it. Now the Sesto native has been given a special honor.

The Time Magazine is one of the most renowned magazines in the world. Every year the New York paper publishes a list of the 100 most influential people in the world. The little brother of this is the top 100 of the next generation – and Jannik Sinner has found his place there. The 2024 TIME100 Next includes artists, athletes, leaders and inventors who will shape the future and shape the next generation.
The Sesto superstar, who won his first two Grand Slam tournaments in 2024, is the only tennis player to make it onto this list. There are a few other young athletes there, such as Canadian swimmer Summer McIntosh (she won three Olympic gold medals this year) or NFL quarterback CJ Stroud.

Author Sean Gregory writes about the Puster world number one: “Italy’s phenomenon Jannik Sinner won his first two major tournaments and became number 1 in the world. Together with Carlos Alcaraz, Sinner can shape the next decade.”
A world star for a long time
The author also refers to a quote from Sinner: “If you try to become a good cook, the dish will most likely not be good at the beginning. But you keep trying. After that it will be a good dish to eat.” He then writes Time-Journalist: “After his masterful tennis campaign, we take Sinner at his word.”
