- All ports and airports in Corsica are at a standstill. The reason for this is a strike.

There has been a standstill in Corsica since Thursday. According to the French online portal “Franceinfo”, unions are on strike due to a conflict over the future management of ports and airports. With their protest, the employees of the Corsican Chamber of Commerce and Industry want to prevent public transport on the island from being privatized, writes “20 Minutes”.
Due to the strike, all flights were canceled. Swiss people are also affected by this. Many people are currently spending their autumn holidays on the island. They had to look for accommodation for the night on Friday.
