Bremer was only able to play for 4 minutes before he went down after a running duel with Louis Openda. The slow motion already suggested that the Brazilian national defender’s knee must have suffered something. The first suspicion was a torn cruciate ligament.
On Thursday, Bremer underwent more detailed examinations at JMedical (Jannik Sinner was also there). The result: The cruciate ligament tear in the left knee was confirmed and the meniscus was also broken. Bremer will undergo surgery in the coming days and will then be out for at least six months. Bitter news for the defender, who will also miss the Selecao.
