Route between Zurich HB and Brugg interrupted

Rail traffic between Glanzenberg and Dietikon was severely restricted on Thursday morning. In the afternoon, wagons of a freight train derailed in Aargau.

The route between Brugg and Zurich HB is interrupted.

lip. /(sda). Rail traffic on the route between Zurich main station and Brugg was interrupted for several hours on Thursday morning. As the SBB announced, the disruption affected the section between Glanzenberg and Dietikon. There were delays, cancellations and diversions.

The restriction was lifted at around 12:30 p.m. According to SBB, the reason for the restriction was an external event in the form of a personal accident.

Freight train derails between Rupperswil and Wildegg

There were further disruptions on Thursday afternoon: four wagons of a freight train derailed between Rupperswil and Wildegg AG. No one was injured, the SBB said at the request of the Keystone-SDA news agency.

The freight train jumped off the rails during a shunting movement, it was said on request. In the afternoon, SBB was unable to provide any further information about the cause or duration of the disruption.

Because of the derailment, rail traffic between Rupperswil and Wildegg on the Brugg – Aarau AG route is interrupted. This affects the Interregio 16 as well as the lines RE12 and S29. The SBB announced on platform X that outages and diversions are to be expected.

Replacement rail buses are now running in both directions between Rupperswil and Brugg.
