Atalanta crushes Shakhtar Donetsk, Girona falls against Feyenoord

Continuation of the 2nd day of the Champions League this Wednesday including a duel between Shakhtar Donetsk and Atalanta at the Veltins Arena in Geselkirchen in Germany. The Ukrainian club was structured in a 3-4-1-2 with Dmytro Riznyk as the last line of defense behind Marlon Gomes, Valeriy Bondar, Alaa Ghram, Mykola Matviyenko and Pedro Henrique. Dmytro Kryskiv was placed on sentry duty with Taras Stepanenko at his side. Higher up, Heorhii Sudakov was placed in support by Oleksandr Zubkov and Eguinaldo. The Italians opted for a 3-4-3 with Marco Carnesecchi in goal. In defense, we found Odilon Kossounou, Berat Djimsiti and Sead Kolasinac. The midfield saw the presence of Maarten de Roon and Ederson while Raoul Bellanova and Davide Zappacosta played the roles of pistons. Alone at the forefront, Charles De Ketelaere was placed just ahead of Ademola Lookman and Lazar Samardzic.

Bergamo continues, Girona disappoints

Returning from the locker room, Atalanta continued. Davide Zappacosta was launched on the left by Ademola Lookman, delayed in the area and crossed towards the far post. Yangel Herrera subsequently committed the irreparable with a CSC, the Dutch club thus equalized (23rd, 1-1). Antoni Milambo allowed the Dutch to take the lead (33rd, 1-2).
