Leonardo DiCaprio distances himself from P. Diddy

Hollywood is in turmoil. After producer and rapper Sean Combs aka Diddy was arrested, his companions are now also in focus. So does Leonardo DiCaprio.

The P. Diddy case: This is what the rapper is accused of

On September 16th, Sean Combs aka Diddy (formerly P. Diddy or Puff Daddy) was arrested in New York and has been in prison ever since. The indictment was published on September 17th and shows: The allegations are serious. Diddy is accused of sex trafficking and racketeering, which includes illegal business operations and organized crime.

The allegations first came to light when his ex-girlfriend, singer Cassie Ventura, filed a lawsuit alleging sexual violence and abuse against him in November 2023.

The next headlines came in March 2024: Diddy’s apartment was searched on suspicion of human trafficking. Since then, more and more dark secrets have come to light, revealing Diddy’s criminal involvement, including excessive sex parties, which he described as “freak offs”, and drug abuse.

Of course, Sean Combs’ friends and companions are now also being scrutinized – and it seems as if some of them are sweating. Beyoncé’s husband, rapper Jay-Z, is said to be involved, as are R’n’B singers Ne-Yo and Usher, the Kardashians and ex-girlfriend Jennifer Lopez. Prince Harry has also been linked to the rapper! Is this all true? Uncertain – at least Usher has now deleted his entire Twitter account, as has the singer Pink. Is that a coincidence? Usher at least came back with the explanation that his account had been hacked.

Leonardo DiCaprio has “nothing to do with this world”

Oscar winner Leonardo DiCaprio is also linked to the rapper. Party photos of the two have now been brought back into the public consciousness. They both often celebrated wildly together and, for example, danced together at Sean’s 50th birthday party in 2019. According to inside sources in the Daily Mail, Leo has clearly distanced himself from Diddy and has absolutely nothing to do with it.

The actor hasn’t been to one of the rapper’s parties “for years” – and, above all, has never been at a “Freak Off”. The parties that Leo attended in “the 2000s at the beginning of his career” were just “big house parties”.

There is no official statement from Leo yet, but the source said clearly: “He has nothing to do with this world, so it’s ridiculous for anyone to assume that he is there based on some photos that are more than 20 years old can be drawn in.” And in fact, there is no indication that Leo – or any other guest at Diddy’s parties – had any idea of his dark machinations.

Leo is only a criminal in the film

At least for one of his roles he has come close to the criminal world. In the film biography “The Wolf of Wall Street” Leo plays the role of stock trader Jordan , on whose life the film is based. Interestingly, one can see parallels to the P. Diddy case: here too, greed and hunger for power drives a man who only thinks about himself into the arms of the justice system.

That’s what it’s about: In his early 20s, Belfort founded a brokerage firm with which he quickly became a multimillionaire and the star of the New York Stock Exchange. His nickname is the “Wolf of Wall Street” – and the wolf takes whatever he wants. He lives a life characterized by alcohol, drugs, sex and luxury. Driven by greed and the feeling of being invincible, he and his partners become entangled in illegal transactions that bring him to the attention of the FBI – his shiny facade of lies and criminality begins to crack.
