Jonas Brothers make women scream like little girls

Nick (32), Joe (35) and Kevin (36) take the stage and many grown women scream like the girls they were when they saw the Jonas Brothers for the first time.

It’s been 17 years since cousins Ana Medina (33) and Maria Paula Baptiste (31) turned on MTV and fell in love. The Jonas Brothers played an acoustic song, the two of them have long since forgotten the name of the song, they were overwhelmed by the band’s charisma. Maria sees the three brothers live in the Zurich Hallenstadion for the first time in her life. “That’s why I got us standing room, we want to really dance to their songs!” she says before the concert starts.

The brothers brought 14 other musicians with them to Zurich. Someone plays the saxophone, someone hugs her cello and others blow their trombones.

Joe actually sings throughout. Before the concert there was also advertising for his latest song. Nick is also allowed to show his voice and is the first to speak to the audience. “It’s nice to be here again!” Before the concert, the brothers took a walk through Zurich, where a Tiktok user discovered them.

Now Nick asks the fans: “Are you ready to travel back in time to 2007?” The crowd screams and photos of the three of them as boys appear on the screens. The two younger ones, Joe and Nick, have always been fan favorites.

Kevin, the oldest, rarely has a microphone in front of him, but instead he plays solos on his guitar. “He is often underestimated, which is why he is my favorite,” says Karen Engh (31). She has already seen Taylor Swift (34) and Adele (36) live this year with Morten Rasmussen (35). “I gave her the Jonas Brothers concert for her birthday because I thought the band might not be together for much longer,” says Morten. The brothers separated between 2013 and 2019 to pursue a solo career. They returned with the song “Sucker” and won Vanessa Bürgler (31) as a fan.

The largest group knows the Jonas Brothers from their time at the Disney Channel and the “Camp Rock” films from 2008, for example a women’s group from western Switzerland. When the brothers postponed their concert scheduled for June at short notice, they were disappointed. But that was already forgotten before the concert and they practiced the song “What A Man Gotta Do”. It is the second song that the Jonas Brothers sang that evening. In total, they played songs from five albums, which is why some call their concert series the “Eras Tour,” based on Taylor Swift’s tour.

In any case, the teenagers from earlier are just as confident in their lyrics as the Swifties – but they also had more time to practice.
