Paralympics 2024: This is what the last day of competition brings

The Paralympics in Paris are coming to the home stretch. Before the closing ceremony takes place in the Stade de France this evening, the final medal decisions still have to be made – once again with German chances.

The highlights of the last day of the Paralympics:

8:15 a.m.: Merle Menje’s marathon in a racing wheelchair takes her from La Courneuve in the Georges-Valbon Park to the Invalides in the heart of Paris.

11:25 a.m.: Edina Müller is aiming for her next Paralympics medal. After gold (2012) and silver (2008) in wheelchair basketball, the 41-year-old wants to defend her triumph from Tokyo 2021 in kayaking on the regatta course in Vairnes-sur-Marne.

8:30 p.m.: The closing ceremony of the Paralympic Games begins in the Stade de France. The German flag in the parade of athletes is carried by gold medalists Elena Krawzow and Maurice Schmidt.
