The draw for the Europa League phase has produced some attractive matches.

This season, the Europa League will take place without a Swiss club. The second most important European competition will also be played in a new format for the first time this year, similar to the Champions League. The draw for the league phase took place on Friday afternoon.
This, carried out by automated software, has revealed some interesting pairings. For example, Glasgow Rangers will face both Tottenham and Manchester United on the island.
Swiss players included
Eintracht Frankfurt, the team of Swiss Aurèle Amenda and winner of the 2022 edition, will face AS Roma and Olympique Lyon, among others. The Frankfurt team will also travel to Istanbul to face Lugano conqueror Besiktas.
Kwadwo Duah, who plays for Ludogorets Razgrad in Bulgaria, will face two Czech clubs, Slavia Prague and Viktoria Pilsen. The team can also look forward to duels with Lazio Rome and Athletic Bilbao.
Final and May
The Europa League starts on September 25th and 26th, the league phase lasts until January 30th. Then 12 of the 36 clubs will be eliminated. The top 8 will go straight into the round of 16, the teams in places 9 to 24 will play playoffs. The winner will be chosen on May 21st at the Estadio de San Mamés in Bilbao.
