– Traffic heavily disrupted this Friday in Lausanne
Various streets in the centre of the Vaudois capital will be closed to traffic to allow the arrival of the first stage of the women’s Tour de Romandie, scheduled to take place at the Bessières bridge.

The third edition of the women’s Tour de Romandie begins this Friday, with a stage between Grande Béroche (NE) and Lausanne. With the finish scheduled for around 3pm at the Bessières bridge, numerous road closures will occur throughout the afternoon in the city centre.
According to the website of the city of Lausanne, the Bessières bridge will be closed to traffic, as will rue Caroline, avenue Langallerie, rue Saint-Martin, rue Jean-Jacques Mercier, avenue du Léman, avenue Mon-Repos, rue Centrale, rue César-Roux, the city district, avenue de Rumine, avenue du Léman, rue Curtat, rue Marterey, rue de la Mercerie, rue Pierre-Viret, rue Saint-Martin and avenue du Théâtre.
It will also be forbidden to park on Rue de l’Université. Various diversions will be put in place, the city also indicates on its website, while recommending the use of public transport. These restrictions should last until around 6 p.m.
Traffic will also be disrupted early in the afternoon in Lavaux, as the peloton of the women’s Tour de Romandie will pass through Cully, Villette, Lutry, Paudex and Pully.
