Dutch 400m hurdles star Femke Bol and Botswana’s 200m Olympic champion Letsile Tebogo will both compete at the penultimate Wanda Diamond League meeting of the season at Weltklasse Zurich.

Olympic 200m champion Letsile Tebogo and Dutch 400m hurdles bronze medallist Femke Bol will both face an Olympic rematch when they take to the track at the 14th Wanda Diamond League meeting of the season at Weltklasse Zurich on September 5th.

Tebogo, who became Botswana’s first ever Olympic champion when he won gold in Paris earlier this month, will face silver medallist Kenny Bednarek and fellow finalist Fred Kerley in the men’s 200m in Zurich.

The battle between the Botswanan and his US rivals promises to be one of the highlights of the Zurich meeting, which is the final chance for athletes to win points as they bid to qualify for the Wanda Diamond League Final in Brussels on September 13th-14th.

Tebogo has already booked his ticket to Belgium, having continued his Olympic form with brilliant Wanda Diamond League wins in Lausanne and Silesia last week.

Hurdles ace Bol has also secured qualification thanks to her victory in Silesia, but will be hoping to claim her fifth successive Diamond League win this season when she lines up at the Letzigrund Stadium next month.

The Dutch star also faces a reunion with her fellow Olympic medallist, going up against Anna Cockrell, who claimed silver ahead of her in the 400m hurdles final in Paris.

Bol nonetheless remains favourite to claim a 25th Diamond League win in Zurich as she sets her sights on a fourth successive Diamond Trophy in Brussels next month.

The Wanda Diamond League is the premier one-day meeting series in athletics. It comprises 15 of the most prestigious events in global track and field. Athletes compete for points at the 14 series meetings in a bid to qualify for the two-day Wanda Diamond League Final in Brussels on 13th-14th September.
