She looked nearly unrecognizable, however, when she recently switched up her go-to platinum hair shade for a jet black dye job after the Paris Olympics. She quickly went back to blonde and showed off a waist-length style in her signature icy hue during an appearance with fiancé Michael Polansky at the 2024 Venice Film Festival.
The actress, who’s in town ahead of the premiere of her upcoming movie, Joker: Madness for Two, could be seen packing on the PDA with the tech entrepreneur as the couple left Marco Polo airport on Monday, September 2. Gaga ensured all eyes were on the megawatt oval diamond engagement ring on her left hand as she posed for pictures with it prominently displayed—and her hair was bright enough to match the sparkler. The “Poker Face” singer styled her icy locks in gentle curls that nearly reached her waist and a sleek half-up bun updo—a complete 180 from the inky-black and shaggy ‘do that she chose just weeks after her performance at the Paris Olympics.

Lady Gaga went surprisingly demure for her travel day to Italy, wearing a black-and-white polka-dot minidress with a crew neck, Y2K-era bubble skirt, and long sleeves. A black sash in the same material was tied into a large bow, cinching in her waist and giving the flirty number an extra dose of coquette. The “Bad Romance” star, who held hands with Polansky and embraced him as they took a Venice water taxi, also went understated with her makeup and accessories. She covered her legs in sheer charcoal-colored tights and added oversized cat eye sunglasses and pointy-toed black pumps. A matte berry lip gave a “very mindful” finish to her film festival look.

Gaga and Polansky first sparked engagement rumors back in April when she was spotted wearing the same oval ring in photos taken by Page Six. She later seemingly confirmed that she and her longtime boyfriend were heading down the aisle when she was heard introducing him as her fiancé to French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal in a TikTok video shared by the politician.
Both Gaga and Polansky have yet to share a date for their wedding, but it looks like the A Star Is Born actress is having fun with her engagement beauty looks.
