The fans of “Hausmeister Krause” are mourning: actor and speaker Detlev Redinger has passed away.
As Dieter Krause’s best friend and a member of the “Dackelklub”, he stuttered his way into the hearts of the audience as Herbert Fink, especially with the line “CCC-Carmen”.
The series was shown on SAT.1 from 1999 to 2010 and became a cult ratings hit – thanks in part to Redinger. His colleague and friend Tom Gerhardt (Dieter Krause in the series) remembers him with touching words:

“The best decision of my life”
For his life as an actor, his role in “Hausmeister Krause” was both a blessing and a curse: “I was labeled by the character.” Despite his popularity and success, the hoped-for follow-up offers failed to materialize. Nevertheless, it was “one of the greatest times of his life.”
In addition to minor appearances in “Tatort” (1996), “Alarm für Cobra 11” and “Siegfried”, Redinger was also heard as a speaker. In 2013 he lent his voice to the children’s animated films “Ritter Rost” and “Ritter Rost 2”. He was also seen in the theater well into old age.
Tom Gerhardt remembers his colleague as a passionate theater actor: “I would have loved to have him in my play ‘You only live twice’ as ‘Herbert’. When I asked him, he said no with a heavy heart because he was already in poor health,” the actor told Express.de
