Law enforcement is on alert from this afternoon, Saturday August 31, 2024, at Toulouse. The football club of the Pink City is preparing to face Olympique de Marseille this evening at 9 p.m. A match TFC-OM classified as “at risk” by the National Division for the Fight against Hooliganism (DNLH), “at a level 4 out of 5”, a police source said. Drones are flying in the Toulouse sky

And with great risks come great means. Drawing on its past experiences, the Haute-Garonne Prefecture is deploying drones across the entire sector of the Stadium and the Pech Davidincluding the Toulouse ring road.

Previous matches have given rise to provocations, clashes and non-compliance with regulations, both inside and outside the stadium. Given that the match is classified as high-risk and given the history between supporters, it appears necessary to strengthen measures to ensure the protection of athletes and the public.

Prefecture of Haute-Garonne

This Saturday, August 31, therefore, from 1 p.m., Drones will be able to monitor what is happening in the city until the end of the TFC-OM matchscheduled for around 11 p.m. An authorization allowing “to be able to quickly identify and prevent risks of disturbances to public order and attacks on the safety of people and property, while limiting the exposure of forces on the ground,” explains the Prefecture.
