Parma have won four of their last nine away games at Napoliin Serie A (5L), the last one on 14 December 2019, 2-1, with goals from Dejan Kulusevski and Gervinho, after having snatched the three points in only one of the previous 10 away games against the Neapolitans in the top flight (4D, 5L).

After eight consecutive games without a win in Serie A (5D, 3P), Napoli won their last league match against Bologna (3-0); the Neapolitans have not won two consecutive matches in the top flight since last February-March (against Sassuolo and Juventus), while they have not won two matches in a row with a clean sheet in the competition since March 2023 (against Atalanta and Torino in that case). Parma remained undefeated in the first two matches of this championship (draw against Fiorentina and win against Milan); the Emilians could go undefeated in their first three Serie A games of the season for the first time since 2003/04: one draw and two wins in that case, with Cesare Prandelli on the bench. After the 2-1 victory against Milan, the Parma could get two Serie A wins in a row for the first time since July 2020 (against Napoli and Brescia in that case).
