FC Sion, fifth in the Super League, will host FC Basel, who are in third place. Returning player Xherdan Shaqiri will initially sit on the bench, as he did in his first game for his youth club in twelve years. Bradley Fink will start in the lineup, as he did last week when he scored the 2-0 goal against Yverdon. The striker will once again form the trident in attack alongside Albian Ajeti and Benie Traoré.

FC Sion has made three changes compared to the 1:3 defeat at Grasshoppers. Didier Tholot replaces defender Gora Diouf, winger Théo Berdayes and striker Dejan Sorgic with the trio Noé Sow, Kevin Bua and Dejan Djokic.

In the second match on Saturday evening, Yverdon, still winless after five games, will face GC. The Zurich team will be looking to double their first win of the season.

Noah Okafor reacts with a post on Instagram to the waves caused by his non-nomination for the next games of the Swiss national team. The striker is hurt by the criticism.

“I love playing for my country,” says Okafor. He has always done everything to make a name for himself. “Being a national player is something special. It’s not something you get for free.” Every minute in the jersey is valuable, no matter what role you play. “That’s why it hurts to hear and read that I supposedly didn’t have a good attitude. People are saying that I don’t have the right character and that I didn’t give my all to play.”
